Type: new generation UVA chemical filter
Main function: Highly stable UVA I + UVA II protection
Suitable for: Daily SPF, sensitive skin, use on large areas
What is DHHB
DHHB (Uvinul A Plus) is a latest generation chemical sunscreen, designed to provide deep UVA protection, especially in the UVA I band (340–400 nm), responsible for:
- photoaging
- melasma and dischromia
- PIH (PIH (post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation)
- deep cellular damage
It is one of the most stable and safe UVA filters available in Europe today.
Why is it important in hybrid formulas
DHHB complements the protection of non-nano mineral filters (TiO₂ + ZnO), which alone:
- they cover UVB well
- partially cover UVA II
- but they do not guarantee optimal UVA protection
DHHB fills exactly this gap.
In Melicor SPF 30, this allows you to obtain:
- UVA I + UVA II coverage up to 400 nm
- compliance ISO 24443
- UVA‑PF ≥ 1/3 SPF
- high photostability
Main benefits
- Deep UVA protection (UVA I + UVA II)
- Very high photostability
- It does not generate free radicals
- It does not penetrate the blood in significant quantities
- Excellent skin tolerability
- Perfect for hybrid formulas with non-nano mineral filters
- Safe for daily use and application on large areas
Safety
DHHB has an excellent toxicological profile:
- it is not sensitizing
- it is not phototoxic
- it is not an endocrine disruptor
- does not penetrate deep into the skin
- does not accumulate in the blood
Why you find it in Melicor products
Melicor uses DHHB for:
- get superior UVA protection
- ensure safety even on sensitive skin
- maintain a light and transparent formula
